DirectLight TL is a non-blocking, scalable all-optical switch subsystem, capable of switching entire fibers, individual or bands of wavelengths, in a compact and cost-effective platform. Specifically designed for carrier-class communication applications, TL is based on Continuum's proven solid-state beam-steering technology, providing significant advantages in shock and vibration environments, superior optical performance, and redundant system features.

DirectLight TL is the core building block to an efficient optical-layer solution. As a high-performance switching element, TL allows maximum flexibility to the integrator - combine with best-in-class mux/de-mux filters for specific channel plans, or use as-is for line-side/client TDM applications. TL can also be supplied with integrated filters and simple fiber-in/fiber-out configurations with user-specified add/drop ratios.
